It's the same kind of balls demonstrated by that Congressman who called Obama a liar during one of his State of the Union speeches.

Completely different.

How so?

Besides the obvious.

Can you fill in the rest of us as what the obvious difference is?

One is protesting Obama, who as someone on the left doesn't deserve to be heckled, while the other is protesting Harper, who as someone who is on the right does deserve it.

Who the hell is Arper?

:D

What a French Canadian calls the prime minister.
sounds more like Ar-peur, actually.

She's not a US congressman for one. She's a 21-year-old student.  She didn't call Harper a liar or spout any other form of verbal abuse or defame anybody in anyway. She knew she would get punished for what she did and didn't get away with it.

Nah. If she did the same thing to Chretien or whomever, I would still laugh. It's a pretty cool and unusual thing to do. I'm not as ideologically motivated as the rest of you.  To be honest, I don't even know what you're referring to, though, since I don't follow American shenanigans.

She is a member of the Chamber not a partisan politician but she pulled this stunt for the same reason as a partisan politican.

Who cares about her age.  Presumably she is old enough and educated enough to know what she did was wrong.  In fact you assert that to be the case.  Are you trying to suggest that the congressman didnt know the difference between right and wrong?

Hopefully she wont "get away with it".  What she did was completely inappropriate.

If the voters in the Congressman's district believe he also acted inappropriately then he to will "not get away with it".

Pretty hard to convince me that a person who would think this is "cool" isn't ideologically motivated. ;)

She probably won't get a reference from Harper either. What do you suggest? Electrocution?

Maybe she should be found to be in "contempt of Parliament".

I'm not suggesting anything.  I am suggesting that to say "she knew she wouldn't get away with it" is wrong, because she did get away with it.

Public disturbance charges.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".

Although you only used half my quote. That she happened to do it to Harper is not the reason why I found it cool.  I said that even if she did the same thing to Chretien [or for that matter anyone else] I would still think it "cool."

Come on it's a very gutsy thing to do. Carry that fucking sign up her skirt until the right moment, and then do it; and that this will probably follow her around for a while, is pretty gutsy. In my book.

She's actually saved because she didn't say anything.  I don't think you can make the wording in s. 175 fit her actions.
