I expected it to suck, I have no interest at all for cars yet I kind of enjoyed watching top gear, the hosts were everything for that show.

I had low expectations, after all old Top Gear was pretty bad when it started.
But the wooden presenting, absence of humour, the shameless recreating of old episodes and then ruining them.
So much was riding on this first episode and it's shockingly bad.

The Blechley Circle - A bunch of women that used to work as code-breakers in Blechley Park solve murders in 1950s England, while being ignored/patronized/beaten by the men in their lives. Interesting setting and concept, although the murder mysteries themselves aren't particularly gripping. Two series with 7 episodes total so ultimately it doesn't overstay its welcome. I love short Brit shows.

Batman vs. Superman
*I had heard nothing but bad things. And even to begin with aren't a fan of DC and find the idea of Superman in a shared universe to be stupid.
*The first sequence is very cool. Excellent setup, showing Man of Steel's big DBZ style city destruction battle from a human perspective.
*WTF is with the sudden segue into the post apocolyptic future dream whilst Batman is using his computer? Is it even a dream? Some...psychic computer? Bizzare.
*I disagree with the dark lighting. As per usual films where it is used.
*I wonder how long this Batman has been going. There was the suit with Joker (?) grafiti on it.....according to Affleck Robin is dead. hmm.
*I like that the bat computer is a major character.
*So Gotham and Metropolis are just across a bay from each other. Interesting. I always pictured them as totally seperate cities, pretty far from each other. They're really taking to heart here the old analogue of Gotham is New York by night and Metropolis is New York by day.
*Lex Luthor seems to completely lack any motiviation here. I'm not getting why he is trying to setup the fight. He's linked with the people Batman are investigating?.... he knows who Superman is (though thats not so secret in this universe), he also knows Batman is Wayne? Superman seems to know it somehow....
*Cyborg has a stupid creation here it would seem. Not that I'm too familiar with the comics. Mostly just know him from that cartoon network thing. Whats with the weird alien device. Always thought he was more of a robocop character.
*DC seem to be going in a odd direction with a different and unrealted Flash to the TV one.
* If batman can so quickly make the awesome war suit....why doesnt he wear that as standard? Though I wonder what happened to his kryptonite spear during most of the fight.... Kryptonite gas sure has unusual properties.
*Saying Martha is enough to immobilise Batman. Good to know. Never noticed their mams have the same name before. Was this some thing in the 30s?
*Not sure about why Batman went for Martha..... How do they know about Luther's plan. And Batman throwing away the spear like that.... They make up a bit quickly just because their mothers have the same name. Yes yes it shows Superman is more human than Batman had thought but still....
*LOL things get ridiculous. Doomsday shows up and instantly theres attack helicopters and a space nuke ready. That escalates way too fast.
* And then they figure out hitting it makes it stronger right away from just a satellite tracking of its location....hmm....
The US government are the true super humans in this one.
*Wonder Woman is pretty cool. Nice to see a superhero with a sword actually use their sword to cut things.

When you're dealing with superhero or sci-fi franchise material, it's never going to be a terrible as you heard.  That's because you're a rational human being, not a fascist fanboi immersed in Assburger orthodoxy.

Burt Kwouk, 'Pink Panther' Actor, Dies at 85

Burt Kwouk, who played the martial arts expert Cato in the "Pink Panther" films, died on Tuesday. He was 85.

His death was announced by his agent, Jean Diamond. She did not say where he died or what the cause was.

Mr. Kwouk appeared in numerous movies and British television series. But he was best known for his role as Cato Fong, the manservant of Peter Sellers's bumbling Inspector Jacques Clouseau, in Blake Edwards's hugely successful "Pink Panther" comedies.

His first appearance as Cato, whose main responsibility was to keep Clouseau alert by attacking him when he least expected it, was in "A Shot in the Dark," the second film in the series, in 1964. The last of his seven "Pink Panther" movies was "Son of the Pink Panther," made in 1993, 13 years after Mr. Sellers's death, in which Roberto Benigni played Clouseau's son.

Mr. Kwouk was born in Warrington, in northwest England, on July 18, 1930, and raised in Shanghai. He began his film career in 1957 and had his first major role a year later in "The Inn of the Sixth Happiness," which starred Ingrid Bergman as an Englishwoman in China.

He went on to appear in the James Bond films "Goldfinger" (1964) and "You Only Live Twice" (1967) and had an uncredited bit part in the Bond spoof "Casino Royale" (1967). He was also seen on the popular 1960s television series "Secret Agent," "The Avengers" and "The Saint."

His other films included Norman Jewison's science-fiction thriller "Rollerball" (1975) and Steven Spielberg's World War II drama "Empire of the Sun" (1987). From 2002 to 2010, Mr. Kwouk was a regular on the long-running British sitcom "Last of the Summer Wine."

He was named an officer of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2011 for "services to drama."

There was no immediate information on survivors.

It's totally different and people don't react well to change.  It's still pretty good, but very, very, very different.

Watched the trailer for the new Ghostbusters movie and it looks terrible.
