The new ninja turtles flick made a killing at the box office, so a sequel was just inevitable.

CinemaSins take on the phantom menace is spot on. Depressingly it needs two episodes. :P

Yeah, I've seen. Still a lower "score" than 300 reached (1,888). :P

Disney will lift the review embargo on Star Wars this Wednesday. That's the day I'll turn internet off until Friday.

'The Double' Richard Gere* in Washington based spy flick, damn what a steam pile of.

If the FSB/GRU et al were as epic as portrayed in the film I think the USA and Western world would have ceased to have exist by now.  :hmm:

Aloha.  Bradley Cooper is a computer genius/project manager/gun for hire/I don't know what who goes to Hawaii to help Bill Murray launch a space weapon.  There he bangs Emma Stone while Rachel McAdams throws herself at him.  Some blah blah back story about native Hawaiians worshiping the sky.  This movie is a mess.  I figure all the actors took a look at the script and said to themselves, "well this movie will be shit but they're paying me and it's a location shoot in Hawaii."

I noticed they used the same public housing complex that was used in Kingsman in a movie about architect Jude Law banging Bosnian immigrant Juliette Binoche and saving her son from a life of crime.

Tried to watch Star Wars Rebels tonight, because Star Wars. Quit after one episode and a half. Too stupid.

Some decent Star Wars vehicle porn though. I smiled a little when these showed up:

That about sums it up.  Pretty heavy on the political undertones(well, not that under, really) too: "commercialization of space is evil", "Hawaii should be independent, even if that means being run by monarchist wannabes in muscle shirts".

Writing Obama as a sell out was kind of weird too.

Yeah, murdering the top 1% of the world was a little unsettling.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

My first thought was that it was a Bradley Cooper self financed vanity project.

Bit the bullet and watched a couple more eps of Rebels, which happened to be much better. Will probably end up watching the rest now.
