The Brain

Coming To America. Only saw parts of it before, first time I saw the whole thing. I liked it.

I've never understood vagina dentata as a trope.  I mean, one sticks one's penis into an orifice capable of snapping down and tearing it off all the time--doesn't one?

The newest season of :Louie".

Still, in my view, the best show on TV these days.

Agreed. I think season three was the last but netflix picked it up.

It's still going strong on FX with season 5 running right now.

I watched sin city again.
All the credit sequences dotted around it throw things off, And some of the stories don't really make sense... But it remains cool

Not as often as one would like.

Private Life of Henry VIII this morning. Good flick from 1933, even with the loud hissing sound during the flick.

4 out of 5 heads chopped off.

John Wick, to hell with having a story, give me a lot of violence and I will be more than entertained.

Avengers - Age of Ultron. I thought it was fun, but felt a bit underwhelmed. James Spader as Ultron is great, though. I would rank it below Avengers, Captain America 2, Iron Man 1&3.
The previous movie set up a romance between Hawkeye and Black Widow. I don't mind that they transform that into close friends relationship. But introducing Clint's family out of nowhere and, equally out of nowhere BW's and Bruce Banner's romantic interest? Err ...

Also: Helicarrier ex machina. I guess it makes sense that the helicarrier is mothballed somewhere, and I could see Fury being able to pull strings to get it up and running again, but holy fuckballs, how quick was that thing operational again (with a skeleton crew that had to be assembled) and made its way to Eastern Europe. Was this hinted at in any way, except for Fury saying he'll do something "spectacular"?

Oh, and killing Quicksilver also sucked.
I don't know, it felt much less dynamic than the first movie for some reason.

Great movie. For some reason used to be on the telly all the time when I was a kid.

And behind Guardians of the Galaxy, obviously.

Guardians of the Galaxy was a fun movie, a lot better than I expected it to be.

It was universally panned and gained a paltry $19mil at the box office worldwide.
