So I was on orders for 28 days and traveled halfway around the world and back, this included many flights including some very long international ones, also included long hours sitting in airports. Add to that 5 days of waiting for actual work to start in a base with little to do. I made a conscious effort to watch as many movies as I could. In no particular order other than as I remember them and looking at my movies:

Birdman  A+
Gone Girl  A+

Lone Survivor
Noah  C
The Wolf of Wall Street  B+
Absolute Power
Captain Phillips  B
Neighbors
R.I.P.D.  D+
Snow White and the Hunstman  B

The Monuments Men
Machete
12 years a Slave  A+
A Good Old Fashioned Orgy  A+ (I'm sure)
Lincoln  B
The French Connection  B (lol)

Bucket List
Grindhouse Planet Terror
Bangkok Dangerous
The Judge
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly  A
Blood and Bone
Dracula Untold  C+
Guardians of the Galaxy  A
Moulin Rouge  C (been a long time, but I really remembering hating the music)
Nightcrawler  A+
The Equalizer  C+
Valkyrie  B

Zero Dark Thirty
The Worlds End  C+
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Specific scenes only:

Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny
Blues Brothers
Tron Legacy  A+ ( )

:)

I really need to get around to watching Planet Terror one of these days.  I mean, Death Proof would easily make a top 10 of the 21st century, if not of all the films made after I was born.  Also, Zero Dark Thirty is an embarrassing blindspot. :(
Kinemalogue
Current reviews: The 'Burbs (9/10); Gremlins 2: The New Batch (9/10); John Wick: Chapter 2 (9/10); A Cure For Wellness (4/10)

Ide, quick question, do you think Lusti had more or less fun because he didn't apply a rating system to the films he watched?

BTW, of your reviews on that random list of movies I watched I have to take exception with Moulin Rouge,it should be a B. And why the Mad face to Tron Legacy?

And why the Mad face to Tron Legacy?

Because he's the only imbecile that loved it.  Just one of his many embarrassing blindspots.

I liked that movie too (maybe not as much as him) but still makes no sense why he posted the mad face.

Suppose he took offence at you not seeing it whole.

That could be, but after watching it a few times, now I just watch the cool scenes.

Because you didn't watch the whole movie and experience its full, majestic sweep. :P

But mostly because of these poor benighted folks who don't know from good movies, trapped in their aesthetic coccoon 1975-1993 (when August and Everything After came out).

It is a valid argument, and one any other ass monkey could successfully make with dozens of other films not named Tron Legacy.  The fact that you insist upon doing so makes you an ass monkey with shitty taste, and therefore a representative failure of your entire over-diagnosed autistic generation.

TRON: Legacy major narrative concern is with human relationships.  You know, like the ones Gen X generally failed to nurture.
