I don't see a connection between the Arab Spring and the target audience of these shows.  :hmm:

What I meant, over the last few years there have been several different movements and events that gave people hope of things being set right etc. None of these come to pass. So this frustration is now addressed by shows which portray vigilantes that target corrupt politicians, evil businessmen and the like.

That's a good thing about being gay*. Just look at the likes of Ian McKellen.

*And having money.

The Brain

You're dating a septuagenarian?

Norgy

First episode of "Marco Polo". Promises to be "Marco Porno".

A big meh so far.

The BBC one was, from memory, better. Then again, even "Shogun" seemed great in the early 80s. Until you try and watch it again.

That's a good thing about being gay*.

That everyone is looking for somebody younger than them? That's not good for stable relationships.

Not everybody. There is a percentage of guys looking for someone older.

But gays are generally better at keeping up with trends, whether technologically or culturally (I suspect this has something to do with not having kids). That's one of the things that keeps one mentally younger.

 Shogun was awesome and still is. Why I watched it again just a few months ago. Freak.

I think what Martinus means is that gays don't tend to have children, which means they have more free time to try to stay hip, so they stay as cool as the 40 year old chain-smoker at your local bar with a tramp stamp and tongue ring. :hmm:

I doubt it. I think everything my mom knows about trends from the last 30 years is stuff one of us told her about.  :hmm:

And Shogun is still awesome. Though the book is better.
