Is the 2nd hobbit movie worth 2+ hours of my time?
I enjoyed the first one a lot. Haven't seen the second one yet.

The opposite.  You are forbidden to watch it.

Mongers:  "Hmmmm, I can't decide...Chinatown or Ninja III: The Domination?"
Languish: "Chinatown."
Mongers:  "You know, I've only got a limited number of hours on this planet...but I've got a good feeling about Ninja III, even without seeing the first two."

Thanks for that, I'll report back.

Yi is confusing me, it's not that I do the opposite of his and others recommendations, just that everyone else and he to a lesser extent, were too late in replying..

:D

It's more, that I'd seen most of 'Michael Clayton' when it came out, whereas I'd never seen 'Cross of Iron'' plus on seeing in the op.credits it was a Sam Peckinpaw(sp) swung it for me.

New Spidey is a forgettable nonentity.

Man of Steel was horribly miscast as well.

The second best ting about MOS (after the score) was the cast. What Snyder had the cast do, was another thing. The movie lacked joy and optimism, not good casting.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.

You thought the guy playing Supes fit the role?

That man shouldn't be making films. It's a genuine disgrace he still gets hired <_<

puhleeze. As long as people like Paul w.s. Anderson and Uwe Boll are helping films.

Uwe Boll is the Ed Wood/Roger Corman of this era.

The Larch

I watched Captain America 2 the other day and greatly enjoyed it, more than the first one. A Bournesque superspy kind of film suits the character much better than the standard superhero plot.

Nah, I agree that Burton's Batmans haven't aged gracefully. Batman Returns was always my favorite anyway.

Congrats, you made The List.(tm)

And you're supposed to be an artist.

Now, I need to know the reason... is it because I think the Burton Batman films haven't aged well or is it because I said Batman Returns was my favorite?  :P

Anyone who disagrees with my ranking of Marvel films is worse than Ide.

Yes, when I watched him I wasn't thinking why is the actor dressed as superman doing this stupid shit, I thought why is superman doing this stupid shit. I don't blame the actors for the poor dialogue, medicore plot or the abysmal pacing.

The problem with Man of Steel is that it wasn't about Superman, it was about a guy with superman's powers and his name and his suit, but not his personality. Caville, though did, when permitted by the script, feel like superman.
