Honestly, I've never seen it.  I should, because I like the General.

Finished season 4 of Boardwalk Empire. Not a very strong one. The finale felt like a series finale, lots of threads abruptly tied up rather than developed to a natural conclusion.
I did enjoy the fight between Eli and the FBI agent though
Actually, Jimmy's mom is supposed to be back as a regular character in season 5.  It'll be interesting to see.

It was certainly weaker than last year, not having a psychopath as the main villain meant less tensions in the episodes.

The film received 12 nominations at the 28th Genie Awards and tied with the film Eastern Promises for most nominations

This one might be the exception.

The General is a lot older and only tangentially related.

It's the Genie awards.  Besides, it didn't actually win any of those awards.

There is no way Jeffery Wright doesn't deserve an Emmy, though.  That was one of the best performances in TV history.

the book is pretty good.  Roy Dupuis is usually a very decent actor.  I can't see what could be wrong with the movie.  Have you seen it?

I was at a Russian Jewish wedding this past weekend. I was scared to even look somebody the wrong way.

Did it have the hard-faced dudes with short buzzed hair and prison tats?

Was the wedding entertainment a transvestite?  ;)
