Ah. Do you know how long those contracts will run?

Not sure, 20 Century Fox let the rights for Daredevil revert back, but they still own FF and X-Men based characters.

Sony/Columbia own Spidey and Ghost Rider

Any idea who has the rights for Punisher? That guy finally deserves a decent treatment. Which is kind of funny, because he'd fit the popular gritty action anti-hero trope that seems to be so popular.

Never underestimate the power of Lucas. Chancellor Valorum had at least 3 more lines than Boba Fett. And Lucas made Boba Fett a god.

Saw Iron Lady.

What you guys think about it? It was an entertaining film. Not a history lesson. Glossed over everything really qucikly. But otherwise a good flick. Streep is brilliant.

Was Thatcher really that loonie...I mean loonier .. at the end?

I believe the reason Sony keeps making X-Men and Spiderman movies is so they can hold on to the rights.  Quality is secondary, hence the Wolverine movie.

Couldn't stand it.  Pace was off, the story meandering at best and the constant changes in tone throughout the movie were unbearable.

Ditto for Slumdog Millionaire, which I watched last night.  Thoroughly unentertaining film, which is strange for a Danny Boyle production.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

I stopped that fucker about 35 minutes in.  Simply couldn't tolerate it anymore, and watched The Darjeeling Limited instead.

Duque de Bragança

Total Attack of the Clones Recall. As expected, very inferior to the Verhoeven/Schwarzenegger flick. Looked Blade Runner-like at times for the scenery but the CGI way so meh.
A/C was working in the cinema though :)

Saw Batman.  Pretty good.
