It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

The one with the Twilight girl as the lead?  Okay.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Twilight chick is pretty cute.

I give her a pass on that, no one could make Twilight look good.

Also, how can you recognize her on sight like that? Did you actually watch Twilight!? :o

You cruise through the Teen Paranormal Romance section long enough, you pick up the names.

I was shocked and dissapointed when I saw a "Vampire Romance" section in a suburban shopping mall bookstore.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

Speaking of the undead, the upcoming Johnny Depp spoof looks pretty good.

I wonder if that dude sometimes forgets how to speak with an American accent.

It was no Gattaca and certainly no Mary Shelley's Frankenstein

Underrated film, but I wouldn't call it better than Gattaca.

I didn't call it better than Gattaca, either.  Hence the use of "it was no Gattaca".  Counselor.
Why would I crop everything but the part about Branagh's Frankenstein if I wasn't referring to your implicit comparison between Gattaca and that?  Officer. :P

According to a photo on Wikipedia!

She looks like some kind of cave fish dude.  What the hell are you thinking?

I didn't look closely and upon reflection I fully agree. :(

(Still fuckable.  Marginally.)

From personal experience, didn't seem to be a problem.

She would have been happier if she was never born?  People who are like that commit suicide.

Not always.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

She's famous and hot?  This is not a difficult to compute problem, Tim.

Anyway, the Twilight movies are hilarious.  I'm gonna get the last one with the Rifftrax tomorrow (I forgot to tonight and I've got to actually go to bed before 1 a.m. tonight, getting only seven hours of sleep and then working till 7:30 to make my nine sucks).

Been here since Oct '09 and don't really watch TV here.

They are very popular here, Koreans love that kind of melodrama.
