Apparently Whitney was picked up for a full season.

2 Broke Girls got the same with this:

QuoteBroke Girls" has had the highest ratings average among the 18-49 money demo for any new series this fall.

sometimes crowds have good sense.. will try 2 Broke Girls
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

2 Broke Girls is okay - some funny one liners in there. I haven't watched Whitney since the premiere. That was painful.

I think shows get cancelled way too early.  Many shows that I grew to love started out as total crap. Babylon Five's first season was a trainwreck, just to name one.  It takes a season to hit a stride and work out the kinks, and most TV doesn't last long enough to really make an impression of any sort.
Its why I try to avoid watching new American shows unless they really appeal to me. I've heard good things abotu Homeland but....I worry.
They make so much, they cancel so much...

Homeland is on a cable channel, which is distinct from network TV. They always allow a show to complete a full season before yanking it--since they don't compete for advertising dollars as much.

I like it.. It's a fable about the American dream.

The former, not the latter, right?

Yes, I gave up on whitney about 10 minutes into the first episode.

Watched my favorite X-Files episode, "Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man", on Netflix. 5 dead Presidents/Civil Rights leaders/Aliens out of 5

Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV.

Habbaku

Watched every episode of Archer over the last few days.  Excellent show; can't wait for January.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

The new ones are good? I love that show.
PDH!

Habbaku

The new ones were pretty good, yeah, maybe not as good as the height of season 2, but definitely as good as anything in season 1.  They form a trilogy of sorts, though, which is actually a pull for me.  Continuity in comedy?  Ker-ching.

Season continues to pick up- Fate/Zero and Mirai Nikki are the clear winners of this season, although Hyouge Mono's resumed subbing makes it feel new and it is an enormous contender itself.

(no really, Fate/Zero is exciting stuff.)

Guilty Crown may or may not be any good. Persona 4 was better than expected. Boku wa Tomodachi Sukunai wishes it was OreImouto but is just bad.

Need to muster the gumption to watch Chihayafuru's first three episodes before consigning it. Un-Go looked hopeful.

It will be busier than the summer season, and I haven't decided if i'll pick up Un-Go or not. With this, the backlog seems daunting. as Katawa Shoujo looms, my body is not ready.
It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

Dude, I've done the same in the last couple of weeks.

Btw, was the "The heart of Archness" arc the last of the 2nd season or the beginning of the 3rd season?

I've been considering watching the X-Files. I've only ever caught the odd episode or two, never watched it all.
