Just saw The Town, Affleck's Boston bank robbing movie.  Weaker than the other Beantown movies that have come out recently.

On the plane I watched:

Paul- Not as good as expected, but OK.

Lost in Translation- Better than the first time I watched it, but still meh.

Hall Pass- I'm confused. Nothing like what I expected. Stephen Merchant only had a few brief scenes. I recall when it was new and being promoted seeing a scene with his character and his wife and him getting a hall pass but that was nowhere to be seen in the film. Bizzare. The entire film wasn't how I expected. It was so-so typical fayre overall. Not as awful as the reviews say but quite generic.

i didn't think it too bad. if you liked heat, then you might like it. though it is worse, it's worth a rental

It's kind of funny to see the good ol' boy from Hurt Locker pahkin his cah in Charlestown.  :)

Plus the slut and the nice girl are both kind of cute.  :)

Deathwatch.  Wow.  Good flick.  Not amazing by any stretch, but definitely worth a viewing.  A World War I trench setting for a combo psychological/horror flick?  Yes, please.  It's on Netflix on Demand if anyone is interested.  Also, you can apparently watch the whole thing via imdb.com.

Rather poignantly it starts with him taking the elevator to the top of the world trade centre tower, later in the episode part of the build up to a disaster, talk about a aircraft heading into Kennedy airport, its call i'd is 911 !  That's a strange coincidence.

Watched "The Last Samurai" enjoyable, entertaining movie. If not very romanticized.
