I've never faulted him for his acting, just for his douchebag attitude off camera when he was in early 20's.

We all had douchebag attitudes off camera in our early 20s.

You never stopped :(
Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son

I don't drop character until I'm done with the DVD commentary.

Just watched Camelot and an episode of British Shameless.  I understood most of what they were saying on Shameless; I think reading Squeeze's posts has helped.  Looks like British TV is still lagging in the production values.

Did anybody watch Sucker Punched???

"All men are created equal, then some become infantry."

"Those who beat their swords into plowshares will plow for those who don't."

"Laissez faire et laissez passer, le monde va de lui même!"

If you've seen other Zach Snyder movies (300, Watchmen) it's like that except duller and more pointless.  It's still got those cool visuals though.

It was the movie of the decade.

Sophie Scholl

Saw The Lincoln Lawyer last night.  Pretty good.  I'm given to understand it's the first of a series of books, so maybe they'll make a few more.
"Everything that brought you here -- all the things that made you a prisoner of past sins -- they are gone. Forever and for good. So let the past go... and live."

"Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did."

Josephus

Saw the first two parts of AMC's The Killing yesterday. Apparently it's based on a Danish series (Liep?). It's about a homicide detective, on her last day of work, who gets a call to investigate the disappearance of a teenage girl. Nice, even pace so far. The ubiquitous Michelle Forbes is in it; and Callum Keith Rennie  has a bit role.

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

MadImmortalMan

The bad lady on True Blood that gets killed by the bull.
"Stability is destabilizing." --Hyman Minsky

"Complacency can be a self-denying prophecy."
"We have nothing to fear but lack of fear itself." --Larry Summers

Apparently she's been on a lot of other shows I never/rarely watch too.

Michelle Forbes.

Very helpful.

Post some damn pictures, you fag!
