Barrister

In my boys watching of the Simpsons they got up to Krusty Gets Kancelled, where Krusty loses his show then comes back with a big celebrity-filled comeback special.

But whats funny to me is how huge the celebrities they got for this episode: Johnny Carson, Bette Midler, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hugh Hefner, and Luke Perry.  And my kids had no idea who any of them were.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

Finally got around to watch Dune. I had a great time, the visuals were fantastic and the movie was more faithful to the book than I expected. Zimmer's fondness for bombast didn't bother me.  :P

Pisses me off that I can't see it making enough money to get the sequel greenlit. I hope to be wrong though.

I wonder why they decided to release it in Europe before North America

It's a bunch of bullshit. Biden should call our ambassadors back for a consult.

It would certainly appease Americans who cannot understand the difference.  But probably not a good idea.

Spenser Confidential.

Disposable Mark Wahlberg action comedy.  Boston, Aryan nation, dirty cops, Dominican (?) (Puerto Rican?) drug gang, casino, FBI, something something.

My pet theory is that Marky Mark participated in this project on the condition a couple ex-girlfriends from Boston got parts.  One is non-speaking, the other is the love interest.  Never seen either one in anything else.  The love interest is hott enough in a big boobed loud way.

Netflix really has terrible movies.

Just started Friday Night Lights.  Writing is quite good, and as expected, the eye candy is strong.

QuoteChris Pratt and Charlie Day will star as Mario and Luigi in the upcoming "Super Mario Bros." movie, now slated for release in the U.S. on Dec. 21 of next year. The announcement came from Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto in a Nintendo Direct livestream event Thursday.

Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan Michael Keye (Toad) and Seth Rogen (Donkey Kong) round out the rest of a star-studded cast. Miyamoto said Charles Martinet, the longtime voice of Mario, will also have a cameo role in the film.

Luigi is supposed to be the taller one.

Jacob

Seriously? There are not Italian actors qualified for the role?

Is it OK to cast for a stereotyping role a person being stereotyped?

I wasn't sure if Jake was serious given the voice of game version Mario.

1. Not Italian.

2. Voice actors don't automatically work well as a "normal" actors for the same role.
