Watched The 40 Year old Virgin. Lots of bawdy jokes and all, but the takeaway message seems to be that good sex is wedlock sex  :hmm:

Tenet

So I really liked it. I am left with a few questions and will have to see it again and then maybe watch someone smarter talk about it on YouTube, but for now it was very entertaining and had an interesting plot.

Worst part was Brannagh's Russian accent.

Was there any doubt?

Well they did have mixed sex prisons in Wedlock, didn't they? Or was that just saturday nights or something.

Also. Elizabeth Debicki
What is it about her that gets her typecast as the wronged wife of a rich criminal?
Watching old Married with Children episodes. In one episode, Kelly asks what they'll do for summer, and Peg says that Al will get tickets for the Cubs again. Kelly is unhappy, because the seats would be on one of the apartment building roofs next to the stadium (which is a real thing).

Peg explains, "Well honey, maybe some day they'll forget about that fan interference call that kept the Cubs out of the World Series and let Daddy back into the stadium."

"Cute reference," I first thought, and then: "Wait a sec ..."

The episode aired in 1987, the Steve Bartman incident was 17 years later :o :o :o

Predicting horrible things to happen to the Cubs is not exactly miraculous clairovoyance

It's still a pretty freak thing to call (and Al Bundy the perfect character to do it). :D

The Babysitter Killer Queen. Dumb fun. Kinda halfway between a normal horror movie and a horror spoof.

I've seen the first eps of the boys series 2.
I don't understand it's release schedule. 3 eps on day itll be one a week now or....?

Spoilers.
So. Stormfront seemed cool. Iffy name but yeah...subversion maybe given the Portland hipster thing? Oh no look she's an arse hole nazi. So that's where the social media stuff came from.
Glad the Japanese dude died. I don't like the little female side story. And his accent was horrible.
I watched S1, and the first episodes of this season.  Hmm....S1 was definitely dark, and I'm probably just getting jaded by the excess of dark nihilism in TV shows these days...but The Boys is pretty much just 100% dark and nihilistic.
Homelander was already bad...did they really need another, equally sadistic counterpart?  It's what one can only expect from the show, but probably not.
On the fence if I'll continue to watch or not.
Finished the final season of 3% - I really enjoyed the whole series.  It works on a number of plot levels.  Highly recommend it.  You can find it on Netflix in North America.

I gave up when the rebels decided they needed to reestablish the exam system.

Aquaman.

Now, I've mostly preferred DC movies to Marvel, this one felt more Marvel and it's also the most successful DC movie.

My movie experience of super hero movies mostly consists of me sitting and wondering why I watch this crap and I try to hide it from the wife since it feels so childish.
She doesn't care one iota, but I feel silly.
I mostly do it in the anti-porn way, that's to say I skip the action parts. If I want to see silly pixels fighting in a silly inconsistent way I'd rather play a game.

So yeah, I guess this was good in comparison with other super hero movies. It was fun seeing a de-aged Julian Sands as the main baddie.
I had to go check to see that it was someone else.
Josquius

Have to say I do tend to kind of zone out, check my phone, etc... in action parts too. It tends to be a case of seen one, you've seen them all.
