Watchmen is awesome. I was kinda getting worried that the racial storyline and the themes/storyline from the comic felt really separate from each other, but they are kinda bringing them together now, and it works.

That last episode was so good. Possibly the best episode of television I've seen this year.

As an aside, if you're not watching the Watchmen ( ;) ) you're doing 2019 wrong. It's the best thing on television right now.

Agreed, I put it on par with Westworld season 1.

How juvenile Juvenal.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

The marvel shows really are odd. They started so good but afer luke cage s2 or so I just couldn't watch them anymore
Daredevil 3 was okayish.  Not as good as #1 and #2, imho, but okay.

Thats where I stopped finally. I think there was another Jessica Jones before that which I sort of managed to get through? I got about halfway through Daredevil 3...But I just wasn't following it anymore. It didn't engage me.
I've heard Punisher #2 is OK but never tried it.

Well played, sir. I tip my hat to you.

Punisher #2 is even better than #1, I think.

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Ford vs Ferrari is definitely the loudest movie I've ever seen.

But very very fun.

Admiral Yi

About a third of the way into The Irishman, and i'm pretty put off by the aging effects.

On the upside Al is really bringing it.

The hit scene is fookin' deadly.

Shit this is a long movie.  The Bladerunner 2049 of gangster movies.  I finish off tomorrow.

celedhring

The last bit is "boring" but it's what moved the movie from good to great for me.
