I watched Chapelle's recent Netflix special, Sticks and Stones. Solid skewering of some people that needed skewering, but some of the jokes felt a little forced. Not his peak, but not bad, either.

8 Juicys out of 10 Smoo-yays.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Cool. I keep meaning to check that out.

Ep 2 Black Mirror.  Boo hoo hoo you made me look at my phone while driving.  I'm done.

Sounds like a public service announcement by the Ad Council.

Bleh. I felt he was punching down the whole time. Felt lazy as all hell. 5/10 from me. We're quite far from his eponymous show period.

Finished Season 2 of Mindhunter. I originally wasn't sure about mixing real life crimes/criminals with fictionalized versions of the investigators, but it works quite well, even if some of their personal drama is quite run off the mill and a bit predictable. I hope David Fincher gets to do the 5 season that he aims for with this. :)
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

2+ episodes of Land Girls.  English girls put on uniforms to work on a farm and have various romantic and sexual encounters during WWII.  The dialogue and plotting is insipid but a couple of the chicks are cute and the period details are nice.

Nope, too stupid.

Did you make it through Stranger Things?
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

The End of the Fing World- British teenage Bonnie and Clyde. It's short and flows well.

Fahrenheit 11/9: Huh, so Trump won because of the Flint water crisis? You know. That does make logical sense. Though I guess given how close it was an argument could equally be made for a whole host of other minor events.
The Democrats undemocratically excluding Bernie is interesting. Wonder how much truth there is in that.
And fingers crossed the enthusiasm about the digital natives holds up. I've seen their climate protests. I am sceptical. But hopeful.

Oh. The film?
Well, it was alright. It wasn't just the same old "Trump is bad" stuff we've heard everywhere, that's taken as a given, its more looking into why it happened. Which is a more valid question.

How dare the Dem leadership be against someone who only cynically joins the Dem party when he wants to run for president.
