The general concensus is they have a major filter on mentioning the a word (anime) anywhere in your application.
Unless you studied animation or have some other valid reason for actually being interested in it.
And of course generally showing a history of functioning in society throughout your life prior to applying.
Then when it comes to the interview they can usually gauge pretty well if someone is an anti-social fucktard. Pretty standard stuff.
Surely there are plenty of anime fans that can pass that, I would.

Once you get there and prove you can teach, do they care if it turns out your actually a big secret otaku?
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Cliffhanger was on last night, on a channel I didn't even know I got.  One of John Lithgow's worst bad guys, and he's done some real stinkers.  Reminded me that, back, in the day Janine Turner used to be in my Top 5 Hotties, before she got crazier than a church house mouse.
And I fucking hate heights.

But man, if you want an oppressively depressing formulaic chick flick, check out One Day with Anne Hathaway;  between giving you obscenely simple flags for all the plot points 5 minutes before they happen, it also manages to remind you how long ago 1988 was, how fucking old you are, and how you ain't done shit in life, either.  I hurled in paisleys and pastels.

WTF? She is now the bad kind of crazy. What I don't get is the Ayn Rand'tards are all religious nutjobs. Rand thought the religion was the worst kind of unreason.

First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.

I guess you didn't finish reading the sentence, where I wrote "before she got crazier than a church house mouse."

edit: and old.  It was 20 years ago, ya know.

I didn't even know she had gone moderately weird. I thought she was working in soaps and direct to DVD lifetime movies like all the other objects of my lust from the early 90s. Merely forgotten.

My criticism was of the Paul Ryan type Ayn Rand fan that claim her as their philosophical ideal and completely ignore her content. Religious belief in Rand's view was the worst kind of unreason.

Well, she's been balls out nuttier than squirrel shit for quite some time, and Hollywood has dealt with her career accordingly.

The Larch

She also looks weird now.

And she seemed so well adjusted on that show. :(

Ed Anger

The actor that played Ney in the Waterloo movie was the OCP CEO in the first two RoboCop movies.

Did not know that.

Don't recall the character's name, but the alien co-pilot in the starfighter, not the guy who recruits him, but the one who teaches him the ship.
