After finishing last one laughing we were suggested an Irish version and have discovered this is a big international franchise.
We've started on the first series of the French version.
It's very much more "American reality TV" in style, which is sad, but funny nonetheless.

Grey Fox

I've watched the Québec, Canada, USA and, I think, Australia's version. It's much more funny when you know who the comics are.

Perhaps. I plan to check out the Irish one despite at a glance only recognising Graham Norton and Aisling Bea () - incidentally surprised they have their own version, the Irish and British comedy circuit is usually one.

My gf only recognises a few of the French comics but she says it is a lot funnier though this is just due to the comic style and the language being more natural for her.

I knew all the people on the British one. Though when watching taskmaster I've ran into people I didn't know before and enjoyed them.

There's a German version, but German comedy has been very cringe when I watched it and I doubt it has improved in the past 20 years (and I see some of the same names still on the program).
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Interesting article from several years ago about the modelwork in Hunt For Red October.

The Brain

Finished latest season White Lotus. Meh. Long stretches of nothing happening and then some cheap melodrama.

Very disappointing after the first two seasons. I would have given up half way through but my wife was into it.

I'd recommend Captain Disillusion's VFXCool videos about Flight of the Navigator and Back to the Future for in depth dives into visual effects from that era.

That whole blog is golden.  Thanks for introducing it to me.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

'From Dusk Till Dawn' - Most entertaining, Clooney makes an excellent baddy, how come I've not seen this before, especially as it's a Robert Rodriguez film.   :hmm:
"We have it in our power to begin the world over again"

Duque de Bragança

No mention of Salma Hayek's memorable performance?  :hmm:
How surprising.  :P

Certainly memorable, though I was more surprised just by how handsome George Clooney was in his day, no wonder half the women on the planet swooned over him.  <_<    :D

Since the male co-star was a podophile in the movie, it made him look better, as a matter of fact.  :P
