My best guess is the 80's-cartoon watching kids are now of age to be in charge of things.  :P

Kevin Smith is doing it, it has a good cast, and it is animated. I mean I probably still won't watch it, but it could be good.

Oh yeah He-Man was cheesy as hell. But they brought back She-Ra so I guess this was inevitable.
