Monemvasia is well worth a visit if you are going to Laconia. Further north, in the Argolid, there are the ruins of Epidauros; there is an almost perfectly preserved ancient theatre there, in the summer they put on the old classics in that very theatre......very atmospheric and highly recommended

It looks like the average temperature is pretty close between Greece and Ohio.  It is probably more humid in Ohio as well.
