Looks like a list of emo abstinence-porn vampires.

We named the dog Aidin.

Liam is pretty much the only one of the top 10 which wouldn't have been beaten up when I was a kid.

I predict: a very succesful boxer in 3 decades time called Noah.

I must comment also:

I fail to see what is wrong with Jacob, Lucas and Benjamin.

Hugely popluar names here every 10 or so years.

Is that a list of US baby names?  If so, we seem to be suddenly obsessed with the Irish for some strange reason.

The cutesy spelling and faux Gaelicisms are annoying but the main problem is the excessive trendiness. Earlier generations saw more gradual shifts in what names were popular and what names weren't. This generation has picked names that wouldn't have been recognized as such when it was born. It's also thrown most of the more traditional names by the wayside.

If you still need convincing, look at names 1, 4, 11, and 23(and to a lesser extent, 79).

I see.

It's not because we don't name our kids : Sifroid, Nazaire, Alfée that's it's all lame tho.

Ugh, misspelled versions of Aidan and Conor.

At least Liam isn't misspelled too. Never heard of any Americans named Liam. I wonder why that's become popular in the US. Maybe due to Liam Neeson.

I had a kid named Liam in my high school class.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

How did they get this list?  Is it some kind of poll or actual birth records?  I'd think the top of the list would be dominated by Hispanic names.
