Heh, through watching the kiddie channels with Carl I've gotten into watching an anime-type show aimed squarely at 10 year olds, and I think it is quite good - "Avatar: The last Airbender". I hear that a movie version is comming out this summer.

The odd part is that this seems to be a blend of Western-style animation with anime.

Certainly it has the most frightening 14 year old girl psycho I've ever seen depicted.  :D

This one statement makes it obvious how little anime you've seen. :D
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Anime is a delight; the damnyankee politician expressing his disgust could have looked closer to home for perversions and degeneracy.

No doubt; but I did very much enjoy the portrayal of Princess Azula as a stone-cold psychopath, with such a crippling lack of empathy that she is in effect unable to relate to normal humans.

My favorite moment was when she and her gang were incognito, and she flirts with some guy at a party - before scaring him off by going into a "together we can take over the world!" routine.  :D

Interesting...very interesting. I remember enjoying the few chapters of that I read on MangaFox a few months ago, and I am not normally fond of Zombie stories.

And there's going to be a second season of "Baka to Test to Shokanju".  :w00t:

That's been the funniest show of the year.

What is a good anime to start out with?
"Cowboy Bebop", or the Rurouni Kenshin OVA "Trust & Betrayal"
