I've started a Romulan. I couldn't remember my old account(nor could cryptic apparently) so I've got a new one.

I wonder if my old char is still out there somewhere?!

50/50.

Although the game isn't all about combat, and pretty much all non-combat time is spent on the ground (e.g. mining dilithium, running around getting DOff missions, crafting, etc.)

And it's worth mentioning that the game is free to play, so you can easily download it and decide if you like the balance of space / ground combat or not.

It's because Perfect World has it not cryptic in terms of accounts, i had to merge over from the cryptic system when i came back.

Yeah that was me. But when I use that it just uses my perfect world account to log in. Maybe the linking between it & my PWE happened since it's same name, same password & I don't have any chars left but there's no way to know.

Gotcha. Well there is still a languish channel and Berkut, Beeb and I have been playing, Jaron just started last night.

I opened a ticket with them, we'll see if they can find out what happen to my old paid for account.

This damn server is down on the ONE night this week I had all evening to play!

Yeah - I went to log in last night and... nothing.

I played last night... and remembered why I stopped playing.  Everything is a gigantic grind at max level.

There are a ton of things you can do - but all you get is XP and credits.  You can do the fabulous Foundry missions - for XP and credits.

But to get any of the fancy gear or abilities you have to grind reputation.

I am having fun, but it does seem repetitive.
