I know I'm not supposed to read too much into last night's Bungles-Jets game, but the momentum in the Jets' favor does bother me.

It had better bother you.
Sure, the Bengals were missing a few people and maybe Marvin didn't want to tip his hand to a potential playoff opponent, but man, that was not the way to do it.

Yeah but look at the Packers-Cards as well, hell the Eagles-Cowboys as well

With the Steelers eliminated due to incompetence I'll root for the Jets now.

The Jets are the new bandwagon team-- congrats.   And I eagerly await all the hub-bub about a 'Hispanic' QB starting in a playoff game :bleeding:

I know I'm not supposed to read too much into last night's Bungles-Jets game, but the momentum in the Jets' favor does bother me.  Bungles are only favored by 2.5 Saturday.  It would actually be better for them if they were the dogs.

Unless Marvin threw that game I'd be concerned.  Chad Johnson (he did say he'd change his name back if Revis owned him  :P ) is possibly out and a bunch of Cinci's starters are banged up.

And screw the bandwagoners the true fans suffer through their team's game chokes and blown draft choices.

He didn't throw the game, per se, but he wasn't going all out to win it, either.  The Bungles blitzed exactly one time, and ran a straight I formation on offense for as much of the game as I could bear to watch.  They were about as vanilla as you could get, so the Jets have very little to look at on film this week.

Rex Ryan erred in not dialing things back on his side once the game was a foregone conclusion (i.e., the 1st quarter:lol: ).  So the Bungles do have some things to look at, which may give them a little bit of an edge.  For all their faults, the coaching staff has done a pretty decent job of making adjustments when needed.

QuoteChad Johnson (he did say he'd change his name back if Revis owned him  :P ) is possibly out and a bunch of Cinci's starters are banged up.

I never recognized the name change in the first place.  He was on Twitter yesterday asking for Fireman Ed's contact info so he could fly him in for the game.  Not sure if Ed ever even agreed to take part in the "bet", but whatever.

If he can walk, they better play him.  They can win without him catching a ball, but they will have a tougher time without him on the field.  Bungles will have Peko back, who is essential if they want to keep the Jets from getting 15 yards per carry up the middle.  They'll also have Crocker & Geathers back, which will be a big help for defense.

So on paper, the Bungles' chances don't look too horrible.  It's the intangibles that can (and usually do) sink them.

I almost feel bad for being a Vikes fan.

Well, I've been a Vikings fan since I started following the NFL, which was 2002 or 2003 or so.  And the Vikings have been consistently, well, decent, during that time period.  Some winning seasons, some playoff wins, some losing seasons.  But no period of absolute dreadfulness.

So am I a "true fan"?

Unlike being a Blue Bombers fan... <_<

Way too early to tell.  You'll know in another 10 years or so.

Nope, go back and watch the four Super Bowl loses and then you can call yourself a fan wannabe.

Screw y'all.  I'm hardly a bandwagoner.  In fact this has been the first year I could actually watch a noticable number of VIkings games (thank you Brett Favre).

It's okay Beeb, I use to get the bandwagon claim being a Niners fan, I couldn't help it my first year watching football was the year of their 1st Superbowl win over those evil, vile Bengals. :P

Me thinks you doth protest too much.  If you were so sure of your fan like credentials you should not have asked for our honest opinion on the subject.

Yeah, because the Love Boat Scandal was such a fabulous time to be a fan...
