It's okay Beeb, I use to get the bandwagon claim being a Niners fan, I couldn't help it my first year watching football was the year of their 1st Superbowl win over those evil, vile Bengals. :P

Bandwagoner.

Considering i'm still a fan after this last decade, that dog won't hunt.

Got me there.

I'm a bandwagoner.  When the Oilers packed up and left Houston, I ended up picking up the Broncos very soon after (I lived in Denver), until pretty much everything about the team and fans pissed me off.  Luckily, I had the Horns to fall back on (and the Gators while I lived there, although the Texans had already started by then, after they gloriously defeated an 8-0 Georgia team while I was at a bar surrounded by obnoxious Dawgs fans http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=223060061  they made people cry, and I loved it) until the Texans arrived and I immediately latched on.

Screw y'all.  I'm hardly a bandwagoner.  In fact this has been the first year I could actually watch a noticable number of VIkings games (thank you Brett Favre).

Me thinks you doth protest too much.  If you were so sure of your fan like credentials you should not have asked for our honest opinion on the subject.

Yeah, because the Love Boat Scandal was such a fabulous time to be a fan...

QuoteAnd the Vikings have been consistently, well, decent, during that time period.  Some winning seasons, some playoff wins, some losing seasons.  But no period of absolute dreadfulness.

Beebwagoner.  You've got to be a Raiders fan and then pick up Cleveland as a second to get real street cred!

Aren't you the one with the man-crush on Orton too?  If so, brutal.

Then you weren't making the effort-- a telltale sign of Beebwagoning :P

Seriously, you can turn from a bandwagoner like Bluto was in the 80s into the true fan he is now just by putting the time in.  And you'll grow as a person along the way :D

I was 8! It was just Divine Providence the Niners became the staple for excellence in the 80's ^_^

My real favoure football team has pretty much consistently sucked since 1993.  My favourite hockey team hasn't existed for 13 years.

I'm already as much of a man as any sports fan can be.  <_<

Well, I've been a Vikings fan since I started following the NFL, which was 2002 or 2003 or so.  And the Vikings have been consistently, well, decent, during that time period.  Some winning seasons, some playoff wins, some losing seasons.  But no period of absolute dreadfulness.

So am I a "true fan"?

No.

True fans fuck their women wearing Chuck Foreman jerseys while making them scream "Bud Grant is God!"
