Interesting. I tried to like EUIII but it was... boring. Supposedly with the expansions is a new game, right?

Ellaborate. That  refers to

a. Vanilla EUIII is boring, or

b. EUIII with expansions is much better?

That was the impression I got from other worthy Languish members...

The  refers to the fact that CK + DV is Crusader Kings with the Deus Vult expansion for Crusader Kings, and has absolutely nothing to do with Europa Universalis III or its expansions, I think.

I think the confusion was over you discussing EUIII in a thread about Crusader Kings.

a lot more court dynamics/events. helpful index stuff. force vassalizing. other chrome. all good.

big downside IMO is stats inflation.

and still needs an official patch. we've been on the last beta (necessary) since October.

A revised interface that makes it more user-friendly and intuitive. For example, there are better notifications, icon indicators, and a bride-finder.

The character system has revamped so that they now have more interesting lives of their own, such as child raising/education, friends/rivals, etc. Be wary if your wife starts making friends with other men! :D I started worrying when my little son became friends with the weird-looking archbishop...

and buy the damn pack, and I'll get my patch sooner.

One thing it does it adds friends and enemies to your ruler. Let us say you are the King of Poland, and Duke Marty Dicksucker is your enemy. He is going to rebel more, and be a pain in the ass. Until you kill his punk ass.

Plus it slows the Pagan rape down a bit in the baltics. You still get goofy ass muslim counties in Bohemia now and again.
