They miss out on the cultural experience of imprisioning drunken natives?  ;)

Yes.  That's exactly what I had in mind.  How did you know.

Just a lucky guess.   ;)

Seriously though, no need to bash southern Ontario. Objectively it lacks the rugged beauty of, say, the Rockies, but it has its own charms - particularly on display in fall, with the leaves turning.

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Meh.  What does Cal have against Pearson?

He was a Liberal, and he defeated Diefenbaker. :ultra:

My opinion of Canada has dropped substantially, mainly due to Canadian posters on Languish.  And you know who they are, because they've dropped your opinion of Canada as well.

What about those whose impression is based on HVC, Crazy Canuck, Malthus and Josephus?

I do.

Because you'll be so disappointed to realize that instead of people like the three of us, Canada is instead full of people like saskganesh and buddharhubarb.   :(

Thankfully my impressions of Canada aren't just based on Languishites or I might agree with Seedy.
