No, because you cross the international date line. :nerd:

And when I cross it I'm magically traveling east instead of west!!?

What does a teaching work sample look like?

Admiral Yi

Hey Jaronimo, have you signed up for substitute teaching?

Also, how about grading standardized tests at home?  Grading the SAT essay requires a teaching certificate.

If you sign up with NCS Pearson use my name so I can get a finder's fee. :)

For Jaron, it's all the gold star stickers he put on their circles of paper.

I didn't mention it on the forum because I didn't want all the abuse Tim got.

He wouldn't even let me tell. :(

Move north young man.

Move East young man!

If you mean Asia, wouldn't that technically be west for me? :P

It's called the "Far East", so no, duh.
:P

Anyway, if your teaching work is boring, then bring in examples of the work and your lesson plans. Go into how you planned the lesson, factors you took into consideration, how you adjusted the lesson on the fly, lessons learned after class finished. Stuff like that.

Is this the best time to try to get a teaching job in California, of all places? What with their budget problems and all that.

Jaron

Yes.

When I started this program, education was fine. In hindsight, it might have been better for me to bow out when I was only 6,000 dollars in rather than the full 18k, but I thought i'd wait and see how things played out.

It is kinda bad. The teacher I worked with my last semester retired, and the school has no money to replace him. It was always said to us that teachers retire, and schools have to hire to replace. Instead, they're simply increasing class sizes.

I should have stayed at _____.

Is moving to another state an option?

Jaron

Possibly, it just doesn't seem possible right now because I can't find a work and I'm nearing broke.

I did get a job for this friday though. I'm going to be wearing a grand opening sign and wearing a large rubber finger to help spread the word to people driving by about the grand opening of a new gas station. 10.00/hour.
