I notice Timmy has been wise enough not to post so far.  sbr though... you're begging for a temp ban.

Meh, it is what it is.
The Ravens have their hands full, what with playing the Patriots and the refs at the same time.
Ravens are a good team; they should have won Sunday. They'll be in the play offs, and even though I'm a Pats fan, I'm not betting that they'll be in the playoffs, unless they improve their over all play. That might be happening, as both the passing and rushing games seem to be improving, so we'll see.

As for the roughing the passer calls, I can understand that the rules say the defender can't touch a QB's helmet or go below the waist. Both times that happened, with the rules having been tightened this year I think? But that's tough if it's just incidental touching. These rules are going to affect every pass rush, every team, this year. Going to be tricky, and likely should make the passing game easier for some QBs.

Rush Limbaugh to join the NFL, continue his fight against quaterbacks who are over-rated by the media because they are black:

The NFL isn't going to fine Ray Lewis, or any of the Ravens.  Hillarious.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Huh?  Wow they totally wimped on that one.  What was the excuse?  'The Ravens are right'?

No excuse given.  'No fines are warranted'.  Which means that the Ravens are right, and the Patriots and their fans should kill themselves.

NO JUSTICE NO PEACE

QuoteNo fines for Ravens

NFL executive Ray Anderson said Tuesday the comments made by the Ravens after the New England game did not warrant fines.

Several Ravens were critical of the officials following their 27-21 loss at the Patriots on Sunday. Middle linebacker Ray Lewis repeatedly said the roughing-the-passer penalties were "embarrassing." Outside linebacker Terrell Suggs insinuated that the officials protect Tom Brady more than other quarterbacks. And safety Ed Reed disputed how the officials spotted the ball throughout the game.

QuoteTwitter tiff

Less than 24 hours after Sunday's 27-21 loss to the New England Patriots, the Ravens began preparing for a Sunday visit from the Cincinnati Bengals in a potentially significant showdown for AFC North supremacy.

And at about that time, Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco began poking the Ravens via Twitter. Ochocinco, whose Twitter account is named OGOchoCinco, fired the first salvo at cornerbacks Fabian Washington and Domonique Foxworth. While Foxworth has stayed silent, Washington has not been as generous.

Here is the exchange between players listed chronologically:

Chad Ochocinco (OGOchoCinco) to Fabian Washington (FABEWASH31) at about 10:30 p.m. Monday night: "bruh you in trouble Sunday, you gone kiss da baby, this ain't a threat it's a promise. I'm shutting the front door on you!!!!!"

Ochocinco to Domonique Foxworth (Foxworth24): "cmon son, how you cover me with a last name like fox<---you ain't Vivica son! It's on Sunday,I'm not being cocky, i'm that good!"

Washington to Ochocinco: "trust me home boy it's going down. Believe dat"

Ochocinco to Washington: "don't do that, don't talk back son, know yo competition son, this ain't madden, you really hit to see me"

Ochocinco to Washington: "tell Vivica Foxworth he better just sit this game out!!!"

Washington to Ochocinco: "this water running up hill. Str8 pressure"

Ochocinco to Washington: "huh!!! Shut the front door!! You betta pray you got help every down, watch the clevland film, 2 man every down<---WTF!!!"

Washington to Ochocinco: "really if u watched the film u can c I had no help. But good night it's past my bed time"

Ochocinco to Washington: "bed time, you ain't gonna be able to rest, cmon son, have a dream like Martin Luther king son you will get embarassed Sunday"

It's good to see the Browns score their second offensive td of the year! :lol:/
The Raiders are looking as good as expected, aka awful.  <_<

I was at the airport, savoring the lamentations of the uncle of back up saftey Nakamura. His tears were delicious.  :mmm:
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

QuoteAgent: Former Raven Tony Fein dead
Linebacker, cut in training camp, dies in Washington state; no details immediately available

By Jamison Hensley | [email protected]

11:56 PM EDT, October 6, 2009

Tony Fein, who was a member of the Ravens during the preseason and was an Iraqi War veteran, died Tuesday morning in Port Orchard, Wash., according to his agent.

There were no immediate details about his death, agent Milton D. Hobbs said.

"It's a very sad situation," Hobbs told The Baltimore Sun on Tuesday night. "I am still trying to figure out what happened."

Fein, 27, was an undrafted rookie free agent who was released by the Ravens in their final major cutdown on Sept. 5.

Although old for a rookie, Fein, at 6-foot-2, 245 pounds, caught the eyes of scouts at Mississippi's Pro Day, where the school's football players audition for scouts before the NFL draft.

While with the Ravens, Fein was arrested on Aug. 23 and was charged with misdemeanor assault on a police officer stemming from an incident at an Inner Harbor restaurant.

Security officers notified police about a group of men passing around a large, silver object suspected of being a firearm, but which turned out to be a cellular phone, police said.

When officers approached the group of men, who were seated at a counter, they demanded that Fein stand up, but he refused, according to a police report.

When Fein stood up after being asked to do so for a second time, police said he shoved an officer in the chest and was immediately arrested.

Fein was not in possession of a handgun, according to police. The cellular phone that security spotted was large, square and metallic.

Before joining the Ravens, Fein served for a year in Iraq as a 19 Delta recon scout. He has also been shot at and had to deal with roadside bombs, he said.

Fein is a native of Port Orchard, which is nine miles outside of Seattle, and was working out there while awaiting another shot at playing football, his agent said.

And then the plot thickens.

QuoteFein was due in Baltimore court Wednesday morning for his first court appearance.
