I'm sure Vancouver did something immoral.  Either that, or the Blackhawks played as poorly as they did the last time I saw them.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

They played into Vancouver's game. Instead of bringing out Eager etc to pound the Canucks (which is what worked best for them last year, not the speed game as many think) they tried to outskill the team with the most depth. bad strategy.

This will be a long series, though I still expect 6 or 7 games unless the Hawks decide to fold up. I hope they don't. When both teams are on their games it's damned good hockey.
:p

Wow Jaron, I didn't know you followed hockey that closely!
Come writers and critics who prophesize with your pen, and keep your eyes wide the chance won't come again; but don't speak too soon for the wheel's still in spin, and there's no telling who that it's naming. For the loser now will be later to win, cause the times they are a-changin'. -- B Dylan

The Sharks are a bit divey, aren't they?

Then again, so long as Detroit loses, it's not so bad.

That's what I call a hockey game, both teams suiting up to play! But there was some strange calls (what was that minor on Franzen just before second intermission when he was cut up himself?).

He got called for tripping.  He got hit with a stick after he chopped a guy down.

Oh, they played that poorly.  We'll see what happens Monday night...

The Habs tie the series, and stave off claims that they're through.

When they hired Martin as coach, I thought "Jesus, what a bad move". But dude has a system. He's a damn good coach.

Halak playing like the 2nd coming of Patrick also helps, but we played way better defensively today. The Pens were getting frustrated, Crosby started whining to the refs, the usual.

In the meantime, Cammalieri has 8 goals in 9 playoff games. That guy is the real deal. What's wrong in Calgary letting him go like that?

Note that I didn't say an NHL team won't play there.. ala exhibition or even a few regular season games like playing in Euro zone... but the spirit holds true... there will never be an NHL team calling Winnipeg home for the rest of time.

Noted for posterity.   :menace:

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, Kings fans celebrate a 1-0 victory as if they just won the Stanley Cup.

Reports are that after Glendale tried to get the Goldwater Institute to decide whether or not they were going to sue (and not getting an answer), Glendale is going to turn around and sue the GWI, and it's directors individually, on some basis.
