Kinda feel that if they were celebrating the murder of the gay people you wouldn't be this sanguine.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Conflating the initial post 7th October Pro Palestinian demos, where a "ha yes take that Israel!" attitude can be somewhat more excused, with those of a few days later when the atrocities became widely known and confirmed.

Also conflating the scummiest people at such rallies with anyone near them.

The Minsky Moment

I don't have a huge issue with Bernie Sanders style Euro socialism, but when a candidate proposes state collectivization of agriculture, it poses a problem well beyond mere clashes with the Dem "establishment." Add that to a penchant of condemning America as the fount of all evil, while cozying up to every horrid dictatorial regime in sight, from Putin to Casto to Xi.

The left in Ameria may need enthusiasm and youth and fresh faces and ideas. But it doesn't need a left-wing version of MAGA.
We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.
