I kinda felt sorry for Slovakia at the end, they started the game as 2nd in the group and ended up 3rd with so many goals against them that they have no chance to qualify amongst the group of best 3rd teams.

Now Sweden will have to play against Ukraine, most probably, while Spain will have to face Croatia.

I don't at all. Once you lose 5-0 it would probably be more embarrassing to advance despite that.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, once the goals started pouring in they lost any chance of qualifying they had. If it had been just 1 - 0 they might have qualified amongst the best 3rd teams, but I think that from the 2nd goal onwards they were out.
