Do they have a death wish?

As I just said. This is about political pressure not some medical study. The Governor is in deep shit because of the power failures. Time to get some political cred with his base.

President Biden says the US will have enough vaccine for all adult Americans by May 2.

Prime Minister Trudeau has said Canada will have enough vaccine 'for those who want it' by September.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

No, I didn't make my point well.  Ventillation done poorly can spread Covid.

The early study I'm thinking of was from a restaurant.  They tracked one infected person at one table.  That person infected the other people they ate with, but because of the large air conditioner right behind them, also infected the next two tables in a straight line from the A/C (while other tables were fine).  There was lots of air flow, but it hurt not helped.
Sorry - misunderstood. This makes sense.

Although, separately, I'm not sure I'd think of A/C as ventilation - in my head it's like heating. Ventilation is airing things out, opening the windows, getting a breeze going :hmm:

QuoteDolly Parton gets vaccinated with Moderna jab she helped fund
Iconic country music star sings a vaccine version of Jolene while getting inoculated in Nashville

Dolly Parton has been inoculated with the Covid-19 vaccine that she helped to fund.

The country music star, 75, broke into song while getting the Moderna jab and adapted one of her best-known ballads.

To the tune of Jolene, she sang: "Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, I'm begging of you, please don't hesitate. Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, because once you're dead, then that's a bit too late."

Parton was credited with helping fund the Moderna vaccine after donating $1m (£716,000) to Vanderbilt University medical centre in Nashville, Tennessee.

Also, she might have found the clothing trick to avoid unbecoming situations, a dress with exposed shoulders.  :P

Yes, I thought the choice of top was very smart.
I wonder if anyone has jumped on this wonderful marketing opportunity. Maybe it could be a new fashion for our age?

Reminds me of the Vladimir "Look at me I'm hench" Putin.

What's the point of pumping iron if you're not going to go shirtless every chance you get?

Small explosive detonated at a testing site before it opened, no injuries fortunately. But seriously

Prime Minister Trudeau has said Canada will have enough vaccine 'for those who want it' by September.

So what you are telling us is that the world's economic superpower is using its resources to pay its domestic manufacturers to produce more vaccine for its own exclusive use, and Canada, without any domestic production and a huge geographic size is only a few months behind.

Wow, That is amazingly good news.  Thanks BB.

Regarding how the Americans are going about this, I read today that there is some chance that they will be producing surpluses for export in the next few months.  But probably too late to prevent the lasting reputational damage.

Another interesting straw in the wind - like the Danish school district. Italian region has also had to shut down schools in one region following B117/UK variant spreading.

It doesn't seem worse for kids than other covid strains, but I think it makes schools spread more because the lower level of transmission by kids is also increased by 50%. So schools aren't more dangerous but they do seem to have more of an impact on R and spreading household-to-household.

We had a school shut down for a few days when a variant was detected, but it looks like it was caught early enough and didn't spread.

A Texas coffee shop owner is being interviewed on our local radio show.  In response to him saying he was going to maintain COVID protocols even though it is no longer the law, he was asked whether he thinks that will create conflict with his customers.  His answer was the most hilarious description of the cultural divide in the US.  He said those who like high quality coffee will not cause as much conflict over be asked to wear a mask as those who drink beer, so he thinks he will be ok.
