If it was COVID, then it is amazing that I didn't get it.  Or my immune system is super-human.  :P

Or you were lucky and were asymptomatic. :)

I like the super-human immune system theory.  :P

But I should say...I haven't even had so much as a (symptomatic anyway) cold for the 1.75 years I've been here in the UK.

You will note how the initial spreader in Europe traveled widely in order to maximize the infection...
I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Meri - Patient Zero! :o

I got sick while in the UK. :contract:

Mind, it was after spending more than a week in Italy.
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

My guess is that in order to get the virus to show up in the sewage it must have been present for a while (the samples that tested positive were collected on Jan 15).

If you're alive, wouldn't you want to have been sick with Covid some time ago?

.......Why does Barcelona city council collect monthly samples of sewage? Is this normal city council behaviour? How har back do the samples go? :hmm:

To monitor public health. I don't know for how long the samples are actually kept, but they started the monitoring in the 1990s

I'm just intrigued - I've no idea if this is normal city council behaviour

I would think from an anthropologic viewpoint, the history of our sewage is the history of Humankind.

Sheilbh is having a General Ripper "precious bodily fluids" moment

Look, some people have very odd fetishes, and sometimes they end up in positions of power.
