Compared to last month, the willingness to get vaccinated has dropped from 56% to 49%, with women dropping from 48% to 38%.

60% of people in Austria are worried about getting infected (last month it was 45%).

In March, 91% of people found the government acting correctly with regards to Corona; now the rate is at 49%.

The elderly celebrities/national treasure thing is happening

This morning Sir Ian McKellen shared photos of him (in a rainbow scarf) getting his vaccination: "Anyone who has lived as long as I have is alive because they have had previous vaccinations... you're having it not just for yourself but for people who you are close to – you're doing your bit for society. Of course, it's painless... it's convenient, and getting in touch and meeting NHS staff and saying thank you to them for how hard they've been working is a bonus, I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. I feel very lucky to have had the vaccine."


I feel like in a weird way sensible elderly people getting the vaccine may calm down the whole anti-vax thing because it isn't about kids in the way other vaccines are - kids are the lowest priority so by the time they get it everyone else will have had it and (hopefully) stopped freaking out about Bill Gates microchips.
