To build the chips for his robo taxis, his humanoid robots and his AI data centers in space, Musk now wants to build the biggest chip factory in the world. He plans for 2 nm chips, the most advanced there are, and 1 million wafers per month, which would be about 2/3 of world market leader TSMC's global output from a single facility. Millions of Musk's humanoid robots will operate the facility.

Back in 2020 Musk promised a similar moonshot for batteries. So far, they reached about 2% of the then targeted capacity and still have significant quality issues.

Apparently he gets billions in subsidies due to the Burden era CHIPS Act and a similar Texas law. Even if he never makes a single chip. Your tax dollar at work to pump the richest man in the world.

Well yeah. That is one of the primary roles of our government: to funnel billions of dollars from tax payers to the richest people.

Elon sure as fuck didn't get rich providing products and services to consumers.
