I want less violence as well.  I would endorse working with Mitch and other Republicans who aided and abetted Trump for years to lower the temperature in this country.  But Trump needs to go before we can really do something.  Frankly his cult needs to be shown that Trump is through.  Peace is good, and we should be willing to pay a high prices for it, but any peace where Trump still commands loyalty in the GOP is an illusionary peace.

Depends on whether insurrection is a felony.  Anyone who participates in a felony which results in a murder (which this was) is guilty of felony murder.

We can only hope federal officials have the balls to enforce the law.  I'd love to se every one of those fucks, including cute old lady doddering around while committing insurrection, banged up for 20 years.  That would reduce a lot of future murder.
