What does a TRUMP presidency look like?

I'm guessing the same ones that thought voter suppression was a good idea.

QuoteTrump: Americans Who Died in War Are 'Losers' and 'Suckers'
The president has repeatedly disparaged the intelligence of service members, and asked that wounded veterans be kept out of military parades, multiple sources tell The Atlantic.

When President Donald Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, he blamed rain for the last-minute decision, saying that "the helicopter couldn't fly" and that the Secret Service wouldn't drive him there. Neither claim was true.

Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, "Why should I go to that cemetery? It's filled with losers." In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as "suckers" for getting killed.

Belleau Wood is a consequential battle in American history, and the ground on which it was fought is venerated by the Marine Corps. America and its allies stopped the German advance toward Paris there in the spring of 1918. But Trump, on that same trip, asked aides, "Who were the good guys in this war?" He also said that he didn't understand why the United States would intervene on the side of the Allies.

He threatens that all the time.

I find it more worrying that he tells supporters in North Carolina that they should vote once per mail, but also in person to be sure their vote is counted. Which appears to be illegal.

You know the oldest and hoariest joke in politics is for a candidate to tell their supporters to "vote early and vote often".

Actually, I have never seen any evidence that a candidate has ever actually said that to their supporters, even as a joke.

I'm 99% sure candidates I've worked for have used that one - clearly intended as a joke.

Yeah, says a lot for the politicians you have supported over the years.  :P
It's a common saying in Liberal circles ;)

Trump raising an interesting point. Who were the good guys in World War 1?

The Allies were...but only by comparison but less so before the Tsar got overthrown and the Central Powers started genociding Armenians and committing massacres in the Balkans. Generally Germany's allies did most of the truly horrible stuff the first time around but Germany wasn't much of angel either with their collective punishment and terror approach to law and order.

But, you know, the Russians were committing pogroms in the territories they occupied so it was, as I said, only by degrees.

I don't know if the colonialist great powers could be counted as good guys, either.

I would hope an American president would say the USA.  It's not a big ask.

It was a dark time :P I don't think I said the Allies were good, but if somebody has to be the good guys then that is where we are.

But the reason Britain was in the war was to honor its treaty with Belgium...sure it did plenty of dastardly deeds later on to grab more colonies but ultimately its reasons for being in the first place were about as honorable as that empire was capable of.

I mean it was not like just because the Allies were the "good guys" in WWII that the Soviets, British, and Americans were actually highly moral nations. Same thing here.

Or at least check out why we entered the war in the first place.

These things are relative, not absolute.

Colonial powers can be bad guys for certain reasons, good guys (at least when compared with their enemies) for others.

I can certainly see from a Finnish perspective both of those conflicts take on a different perspective though.
