The US is ousting Assad now? For fucksake. One would think nobody in the Middle East ever does anything on their own the way these conspiracy fucks talk.

Yeah, that was so ridiculous I skipped over it. I've been saying it since the Syrian Civil War started, If the U.S. really wanted to take out Assad they should have taken out the Assad regime air force, ala Libya.

The Schadenfreude is still going fairly strong :)

Yeah, I noticed

It should have burned itself out sometime in December.  But you guys... :P

Trump will be the worst president ever.

James Buchanan nearly destroyed the country...

Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

It'll work its way out of the system and everything will be fine.  And then maybe I'll get the do-nothing caretaker president I've been waiting for.

You reckon Pence after a Trump impeachment? Or in the president elected post-Trump?

Next president that is elected.  Or maybe the one after that.

Trump does so much that is really bad and also spews complete bs, but there is overkill from many quarters to call him on bs.

Recently Trump was tweeting that John Lewis's Atlanta district is crime infested and falling apart. Aside from the dumbness of going after John Lewis, or attacking a major city in a state that supported Trump, it doesn't seem like a radical proposition. The infrastructure really is hanging by a thread--the anti tax and anti public transport biases have starved the city of funds for a long time. The city isn't very efficient and parts of the city do have crime problems.

The merits can be debated, and I understand smart and well informed people can disagree with Trump's statement, but I read an article (I think on CNN) that "fact checked" the statement and declared it "false".

I don't get it.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Just because you are against Trump does not mean you are not completely wrong about everything else. Likewise just because Trump said something does not mean it is automatically wrong. He does not really care if something is wrong or not so he is bound to be right a certain percentage of the time.

Perhaps the falseness was due to John Lewis not administering the city?

"That military may come marching down Pennsylvania Avenue. That military may be flying over New York City and Washington, D.C., for parades. I mean, we're going to be showing our military," he added.

To me, the first part has nothing to do with the second part.

In fact, it makes no FUCKING sense.
