You have some perverse desire to see these guys as "ultra-religious", which doesn't describe the majority of them at all.  They are, however, American and English-speaking.  And that is where your have a problem.  If Trump and his crew were Francophones, you'd be onboard.  And ethic-cleansing, you really seem on board with that.  You may be big on supporting Islamic fundamentalists overseas, but you are much, much less keen on them in your own country.

Freedom of religion must not be restricted.  At all.  We have had multiple debates on this already, and that was your position.
Deal with it.  They can advocate for your murder, the murder of Jews, the murder of Muslims, as long as it's under the name of God, it's A-ok.
Canada had such a case recently.  An Imam preached for God to kill the Jews, the enemies of the people of Gaza.  No criminal accusation as it's protected religious speech under our Constitution.

It's the world you want.  We've had enough debates about religion, I know where you stand on this.  You want people like this to be free to express themselves however they want when it suits you.  Deal with it when it doesn't.  It's the price you pay when they evolve to the next step.

During the campaign, Harris was asked if she thought Donald Trump was a fascist and she answered "Yes, I think he is".  Obviously, the Republicans were outraged at being called what they were.  But even among the Democrats, many disagreed, along the rank & file, that Kamala Harris should call Trump for what he is.

It's like the Democrats didn't campaign on many issues against the Trumpist agenda, but voters did not want to hear about it.  When told, their answer was "it's all lies.  He was president before, and he did not do any of those things".

Ok, but that does not explain why the Dems have been caught so flat footed now.  If anything your observations indicate the Dems should definitely have been better prepared with their own plan on day 1.

I disagree with this take. The Democrats gained ground in the House though. And just barely lost in the other two. Their are standing on a razors edge and great leadership here could set them up for success and scare the Republicans into retreat.

But they aren't. At least not yet. Need to kick the fossils out.

At this point they need to be aggressively pointing out and attacking every single unpopular thing Trump does and tell everybody if they don't like it to support the Democrats. At least. They might even point out how their policies actually were better.
