Random thought that just occured to me: I have a Permanent Residence permit from the Home Office. However, it specifically states on the paperwork, that I have gotten this due to my EEA citizenship.

I guess this is a sort of get-out clause for them if they decide to send me home after all?

Have you watched that show garbon? Any good?

I like it but it is a very bleak look at how the world could develop (some aspects seeming far fetched but then so did Brexit and Trump). One sort of issue though is that I do feel tension raise up in my back as each episode unfolds so I always line up either a frivolous show or book to indulge in, immediately following.

Welcome to our future.  :(

Thanks for the review, I'll definitely give it a viewing; my kind of show.

Thanks. I shall definitely give it a go then; may have to wait for a propitious time when we do not feel too badly about the future of the country. Hah, sooner the better maybe  :(

What show is that?

garbon

Years and Years. I believe last episode airs on BBC tonight.

Blurb from link, actual link has spoilers.

QuoteFuture shock: why Years and Years is 2019's most terrifying TV show
By following one family over the course of the next 15 years, Russell T Davies' powerful drama offers up a chilling forecast of where our country might be heading

If leading members of government are busy trying to squueze a bit more out of their regular salary that's a pretty nice state of affairs.

In any self-respecting oligarchic shithole (like Hungary) a minister would spend his nominal annual salary in a matter of weeks.

garbon

I'm surprised they make so little. Though I guess little only relative to how pound now fares vs dollar since the Brexit vote.

Returning to my old topic: don't you guys find it worrying that nobody (of the mainstream media) seem to be the least bit worried about terribly wasting time on all this Tory bruhaha?

Is absolutely everyone hoping Brexit will just go away if they pretend it's not there?

No such luck. They think it will.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

I'm guessing the media are happy to cover something other than Brexit for a change. :P

It kinda hit home for me how much British politics are in flux when RH started voting for Lib-Dem wool-vest types.

Brexit will take the full bandwith of the British political establishment for at least the next 2 years. :hmm:
