Some Tories are flirting with the idea of proroguing parliament before they have a new leader. That way they can get to avoid the new PM being thrown out of office on a no-confidence vote and also get brexit by default. This profoundly dictatorial idea is being resisted by others. The Queen may have to step up.

Are you suggesting the Queen should raise the Royal Standard at Nottingham and march on Parliament?

No just imprison Rees-Mogg in the white tower, have a high treason trial and either exile or behead him on the block at tower hill.

Checking up UKIP didn't run in 2017 for some reason. But in 2015 they got 7,485.
So they've rose from 7,485 to 9,801 (+400).
Which....yeah, its a rise. But lets get some perspective.

Considering in 2015 this was a Labour seat and the circumstances around which we had this bielection too....Very well done by Labour I'd say.

The main learning from this is the Conservative collapse. Since Brexit it has gone from a 10 year Tory hold to somewhere they're running in 3rd.

7485 to 9801 is +1400 (well, closer to +1300.)
