I'm having my wisdom teeth pulled on Wednesday. How long until I can sorta speak normally? I have a meeting the following Monday that I would rather not cancel.

Okay, so I just had 2 wisdom teeth, and a back molar that had a bad root canal done, pulled a week before Christmas.

Speak normally?  Almost right away.  I don't think my talking was seriously impacted.  If you're having surgery though the dentists stressed not to do anything for 24 hours as you might still legally be under the effects of the anesthesia.

You will be in some discomfort / pain for a couple of weeks at least.  I just was popping advils which dealt with it nicely, but they did give me some Tfs if I needed them.  So be prepared for that.

Eating?  I was fully back to normal about a week ago.  Before that you have to watch what you eat, and rinse and floss a lot.

G'luck dude.

So am I, but having my wisdom teeth pulled was a walk in the park. Didn't even take painkillers afterwards.

I had my bottom wisdom teeth remove in 2 different occasion. Both times I got a Alveolar osteitis.

It sucks.

I definitely get that.  I hate dentists and dental surgery.  And I'm definitely not like Mal saying it's a "walk in the aprk".  It sucked.  But now it's over. :)

If a walk in a park results in you losing a couple of teeth, you should probably look for another park.  :hmm:

No one was more surprised than I was. In fact, they came out so easily it was a bit worrying.

My wisdom teeth had to cut out of my jaw (with surgery and full anesthesia) and if I remember correctly it took like three or four days for the swelling to go away and I probably had a strange pronunciation in that time.

My mother took my good painkillers away after one day. <_<
