The wife made an account for me on facebook. Good Christ, what was she thinking...

Now I've got all these friend requests to acknowledge and shit. This is like work.

I often wonder why those hot women don't just marry the rich.

Sometimes they do.  But that sort of chick often isn't able to keep her pants on long enough to do so.

  Nicely done!  Will this lead to a teaching gig or library/research work of some type?

I'm applying to the UIUC for the masters' program in Curriculum and Instruction. Step one: pass Content and Basic Skills tests. The Basic Skills test is September 12. Step Two: Get stellar letters of recommendation. Step Three: Convince them that I was a moron while working on my undergrad (hence my low GPA), but that I've grown up and gotten a wee bit smarter.
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

It was sitting on the ground. -_-

My Internet research has led me to conclude that it is a Devonian brachiopod.  Interestingly, brachiopods are the state fossil of Kentucky.

Just watched part of "Women on Top," HBO documentary on the porn industry.  One agent said a contract star makes about 60-70K (this was in 2004) and works maybe 4 days a month.

That's not very much, considering the short "working life". Can't retire on 60-70K over maybe 10 -15 years or so.

Most die of drug overdoses before then.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Woohoo,  found a letter that I forgot to open yesterday- I'm getting a career development loan next year.
This combined with being in a better, less studenty flat with just me and one friend should mean though school is starting up again at the end of the month it won't be back to abject poverty :punk:

Well done!

Its not an achievment but money > no money by quite a long way. That's why I'm happy.

I just looked in my freezer. It only contains two half empty bottles of tequila and a can of limeade. :(
