Will you still be teaching English?
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Sadly so, though hopefully with a useful internship on the side and a shit tonne of Japanese study.

QuoteBen Affleck's Batman will be 'tired and weary'

Look for Ben Affleck to play a "tired and weary" Batman opposite Heny Cavill's Superman in 2015's as-yet-untitled Man of Steel sequel.

That's the word from Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara, according to Variety. Tsujihara made the comments on Thursday during the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference in Beverly Hills.

The surprise August announcement that Affleck, 41, would take over the Batman role from Christian Bale angered many fans, but director Zack Snyder's casting decision has Tsujihara's support. "We think it's going to be huge," he said, according to Variety.

There's certainly a track record of success: Snyder's Man of Steel has pulled in more than $660 million worldwide since its release in June.

Oh he may be weary
Superheroes they do get weary
Putting on that same old costume dress
But when Batman gets weary
Try a little tenderness
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

What kind of internship are you looking at?

I like to think it is a true story:

At the gala ceremony held to honor Charles de Gaulle upon his retirement, a British journalist asked Madame de Gaulle what she wanted most to share with her husband, now that her husband was free from the duties of public life.

She smiled and replied "A penis!"

The journalist was completely taken aback until the General stepped in and said "My dear, I believe in English it is pronounced 'happiness.'"

So as I've done for the past few years, I imported the Bengals schedule into Outlook using the .csv file they provide on their website.  Apparently with this year's, it marks your entire day as "busy" by default.  Just realized that.  It's not an issue for Sunday games, but...

Wondered why nobody dared schedule any meetings with me next Monday (Bengals-Steelers MNF game).  My schedule is totally open because of that.  Shit, I might as well take the day off.
