Just got back from Wendy's.  There were two old ladies in front of me, and it took them like five minutes to place an order for chili and drinks.

"AH NEED A SMALL CHILI AND A SENIOR SPRITE!  MAKE SURE YOU RING THAT UP AS SENIOR NOW!"

Then...

"A DOLLAR SEVENTY NINE FOR THE CHILI!?  THAT USED TO BE NINETY NINE CENTS!  AH'M ON A FIXED INCOME!"

I then had to grab the only open table next to them and listen to them talk for ten minutes about how Wendy's has the best damn chili anywhere.

In the bizarre department, I was watching CNN during lunch and they air the White House press secretary.  "The president and the first lady will spend the day blah blah blah.  Doctor Biden will blah blah blah."

Doctor Biden??  I paid attention to make sure I hadn't misheard.  He repeated it a bunch of times.

"trophy wife" generally means more than just having a pretty wife.  It seems to mean a much younger wife, and a divorced ex-wife in the background.
