It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

It's warm (25+°C), humid here, plus rains in the afternoon.

When I was going home from work there was thunder (no lightning), rain and sunshine AT THE SAME TIME.

Fox's wedding.  That's bad luck man.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Air conditioning is broke at work and the windows can't be opened (not that they dont let us, but that these windows were not made to be opened).

It is a TINCY-WINCY BIT HOT IN HERE!
Eastern Europe is messed up, such extreme temperature variations between seasons.
Prague and Bratislava in August: Bloody hell am I in Spain?
Krakow and Wroclaw in late October: So cold.....

The real messed up place is England.

Yet another false stereotype.
Perhaps its true in Liverpool but on the east coast we're not too wet. When I lived in Amsterdam it was far worse.

So, we've had Ed, Farrah, MJ, Billy Mays and David Carradine. Is there a sixth to complete it as a double-triple? Did I forget one?

It's always 1969 in retarded San Francisco.

We usually keep such activity contained to a few neighborhoods. Its just that large public events (like parades, pride, protests) bring the crazies out of the woodwork.  I dislike hippies and I usually find it easy to live here.

There was a huge Pride Parade in Washington DC when I was there a few weeks ago.  I was excited, as I hoped to get some fashion tips.

Sadly, I discovered that Prideful folks don't really have a good dress code.

Fashion is hardly top of mind when you're out to get sloppy drunk.

Anyway, Pride is about gaudy clothing (glitter, sequins, feathers, spandex) or no clothing.
