Yeah, people with respiratory ailments have been going to the sea to relieve them for millennia.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Got a DP cable out of the supply stash, swapped it in.  Goodbye, eye strain. :)

Goddamnit, I forgot to put my middle names on my visa application and it was promptly rejected. I'm seriously considering getting rid of them as I this is not the first time I've forgotten them. Why should they clutter up my passport?

How many middle names do you have that you forget that you have them?

It's not that I have a lot, it's that I rarely use them for anything so I forget that they're in my passport.

This ongoing Zimmerman case. I'm always surprised to see a picture of Zimmerman, the name just brings to mind an angry old guy, not a youngish guy. All angry old guys have to start somewhere of course but....its just such an old man name

His dad is pretty old.  Does that make you happy?

Allergies are so bad in this town right now that about 1/4 of the company is out with sinusitis/allergies. In my department alone, 3/8 are gone, and I'm struggling to get through the day.

What bullshit.  Almost as much of a shitty excuse to miss work as menstrual cramps.

Right now, my head feels as though it weighs 200 pounds, and my face feels completely bruised from my nose almost up to my hairline. I can barely keep my eyes open from the pain. Allergies amongst corn and soybeans is nothing to laugh at, my friend.
I wouldn't have thought that and I have allergies to pollen. I've been growing corn in my backyard garden, usually quite a few, over a hundred plants. I go down the rows while the plant tops are full of pollen to shake them a bit so the pollen drifts to other plants to cross polinate. I'll have to notice this year if I get any allergic reaction but I haven't noticed in previous years.

Meri,
Corn plants put out a lot of pollen, spread by the wind. Each silky string on an ear of corn is connected to a corn kernal and relies on being pollinated by another plant to create each corn kernel. So I can see if you're in a large area then the pollen is everywhere!  :yuk:

Come on now, you don't need to highlight examples of Jos saying odd things.

He's never lived in the Midwest, g. He doesn't understand.

Don't gimme that.  I live on the eastern seaboard, home of Doomidity air quality.

Maybe if you people coated your lungs and sinuses with a protective layer of tar like I do, you wouldn't have to worry about it.

Humidity was 86% here yesterday. And again, I'm surrounded by a sea of corn and soybeans.

Did I mention the corn and soybeans? Oh yeah, and the corn and soybeans.

Sounds more like triffid pollen.  ;)

You grasp the problem.

Yep, I estimate on my little corn patch the same thing, tassels will be grown and filled with pollen, especially during the early morning hours.
