We don't need a president that looks okay shirtless.
You would let Russia beat us?!?!

Katmai thinks Putin is sexy with his shirt off.

it might re-invigorate your enthusiasm for the democratic process.

And that's a positive?

Yes, doesn't matter about the individuals politics, but it's important that people take an active role in democracy or civic life or for that matter the legal/judicial process.

Not strictly on topic, but this week I was talking with someone who was a judge in one of the British Caribbean colonies, they'd 'had' to pass a death sentence and because of the small size of the island/ it's legal set up, had also had to attend the hanging to confirm the sentence had been carried out.  That's some civic duty, I couldn't have done it.

On a good day he can see Putin's manly chest from across the Bearing Straits with binoculars, that's if Sarah's holding them steady for him.

I think voting is enough...unless you can arrange me a sabbatical to campaign in a state that Hil is weak in.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

The Brain

I rarely make bears cry.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Those Cialis commercials give me the trots.  You know the ones, where they have the guy watching his wife do something quirky in every day life, and they're all like "even after all these years, her <insert stupid little idiosyncratic affectations here> still do it for you", like talking on the phone while trying to put on her shoes, or some other usual bullshit.  What a crock.

They never show the normal shit, like how she asks you four times about that sound the dryer is making "can you hear that/can you hear that sound/what's that sound" in a passive-aggressive approach to fucking fix the thing already, or arguing over the kid bringing home a piece of metal in her lip or anything, and how your wife won't give you a blow job because it's not your birthday.  They never show that shit.

PDH

I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

I am bitter about bullshit advertising campaigns.

I guess I don't watch enough TV.  The students embitter me enough.

I hate the Disney commercials that are like "Make the memories that will last a lifetime." Lucy at age 4 and 1/2 will not even remember as an adult about her trip to Disneyworld.

I remember my trip to Disney Land around that age.  Watched a giant screen car show, got on some ride, and puked my guts out.

garbon

Every trip that I ever took to Disneyland melding together. I don't think I have a distinct unique memory for any of them.
